How come we cant smell our own cologne/perfume?

If one smell is constantly under your nose you grow accustamed to it. So when you first spray it you can smell it, but after awhile you are used to it so you block it out.

It's like how pet owners with smelly houses don't realize they have smelly houses unless someone points it out.How come we cant smell our own cologne/perfume?
~When you are surrounded by any type of odour for an extended period of time, your body will adjust to it and tune out that particular smell, allowing you to detect others. If you use a perfume every morning, by the end of the day your body will have acclimatized to being constantly surrounded by the same perfume, making it less noticeable to you. Perfume also fades through the day. How come we cant smell our own cologne/perfume?
because you get accustom to it.
because you get used to the smell
I can? =/
