Yes, certainly all sorts of smells and fragances, such as perfumes, air fresheners, etc., do give people migraines.





Unfortunately, such smells and and fragrances are becoming ever more common in our society today. They are even put in foods, air conditioning systems, etc.





And unfortunately you will often not get much sympathy from many people in the general community who have never had a migraine in their life.





Some people I know cannot work in offices anymore because of all the perfumes which cause them to get migraines.





The best you can do is ask pleasantly if they could perhaps not wear that particular perfume to work or wherever it is that you meet them.





I give a few sources below on this problem. Maybe you print some of these out and show the printouts to the perfume wearer to show that your problem is a real and very serious one.





Also a letter from your doctor (stating that you must avoid perfumes for reasons of health) might help persuade the perfume wearer.

Yeah, I know a lady who got fired for it! I'm not sure if those are legal grounds for termination, but that's what her boss told us....
